Wow, Ann is posting so much more these days. I'd like to think I had something to do with that. Also, wow! (again) I haven't seen those videos in forever. I barely remember being there, let alone recording it. Maybe I'm losing my memory... nah. Also also, if you want to do the vlogging thing again, go ahead! I think it's more fun to watch. Who's forcing you to glare at the Christmas centerpiece? Your dad? He's a hoot.
It looks like next week might be better for us to hang out and have a games night. Is there a date that people prefer? I'm gonna go ahead and say Saturday... unless someone has a problemo with that and then they should just say so.
How's the new place, Chels? I hear it's big and close to a librareum (library + museum!). Also, I haven't gotten your gift as of yet, but I'm supposedly dropping by Dan's place to get it. I'm excited! (but if it's a flesh-eating virus then I'll be slightly less excited)
Still job-hunting. I applied for a internship working as a Producer's assistant and I'm still waiting to hear back from them. I really hope I get this job...
Other than that, I'm still trying to sort out my stupid imdb page (strange people keep getting added to my short film! Arrgh!). I went to the Van City Theatre to watch a movie and the camera was so shaky (plus we were sitting a little too close) that I felt nauseus so I had to go out for a bit... but it was okay because the movie was really, really slow and I didn't really enjoy it.
Anyhoo, see you all soon! I'll give you all a call later this week! (you too Joanne!)

you weren't there for the second video, i think you were volunteering. that was the day we made aaron's "music video". although it wasn't so much of a video as it was segments of aaron on the playground. I haven't recieved the surprise yet, but i am excited :)
i'm forced to glare at the christmas centerpiece that my dad bought discounted after christmas.

in my defense, the san andreas fault makes GRRRR noises...i just don't know why I did a bear pose while I was saying it.
This weekend is no good. I have a midterm on the tuesday. The following week would be better (Feb. Sat 7). Jon is going to vegas with his dad during reading week which is feb 16- 18th so i'll be freer then.
GRRRR!

The ugly snail on the garden gnome at night...
Sigh.
Hey, do you guys want to have a games night sometime, possibly this weekend? It's been a while since we've played some games... plus, I have a new one! Yay! Post what days work best and we'll try to get something organized, eh? I also feel like ordering pizza from Freshslice, just like the good old days... and Ann can eat 5 slices (or was it 6?). Again. Hahaha
Also, I'm still eating truffles, though much less frequently than before. Also, I still have not broken out, so there. The kettle corn is good, I take it?
No, Lily, I didn't completely hate the thing on Friday. It was mildly entertaining, and the food was pretty good. And there was this cute guy that I was stalking with my eyes, haha. Sigh... my love life sucks even worse than Lily trying to act out "San Andreas fault" (then again, I did guess it, so I guess it wasn't that bad)
Anyway, that's about it. Post back, people!

GONG HEY FAT CHOY!!! LUCKY MONEY PLEASE!
Hey everyone,
I hope you are all doing well. Thanks for coming to the event Ann and Aaron. I hope you didn't completely hate it. On Friday, Jon organized an event for the UBC club Smiling over sickness. It was a very classy event, I thought. There were about 150 people.
Anyways have a wonderful chinese new years.

i do too read the blog
sounds like you're having alot of fun there chels. who is this miao person? is she (he?) your room mate? i wanted to go skiing too this winter but i'm pretty sure its gonna cost me more than 16 bucks.
as for going to penticton, i don't think i'm going to go either. i would rather go around april cause of school and you probably don't want to spend valentine's day weekend with both me and dan...hopefully we can hang out when you stop by vancouver.
aaron i know it's fun to eat truffles and flaunt your disturbingly good metabolism, but it makes you break out and is bad for you overall. on a completely unrelated note, the kettle corn is mostly gone..

Happy Chinese New Year! La.
Ooh, sounds like skiing was a fun time. Have you skied before, Chels? I've snowboarded a couple times but I wasn't really ever that good at it; I think it requires a lot more balance than skiing, which apparently, I don't have.
I've applied at some jobs but so far, nothing yet. I'm not getting frustrated or anything, but I sorta wish at least for even a "No, you're not good enough/what we're looking for" thing from anyone. Then again, it took the Bay forever to finally get to me. Then again, in the end, I didn't even get the job from them. I applied for that part-time piano thing at the Metropolitan Ballet Academy again (thanks Chels! Or was it Dan...?) but my hopes aren't very high for getting that position, since I didn't get it before. I guess we'll see.
In other news, I sent my short film out to another... 6 or 7 festivals last week, which is awesome. Of course, it's costing me (some of them... but there's always postage as well) and I should be saving up...
Speaking of saving, my parents opened up a Tax-Free Savings account for me and had $5000 to deposit in it but they put in my regular savings account to be transferred later. According to my records, the $5000 was transferred on January 8th, out of my account, and I assumed it was my parents' doing. Apparently not; my mom and I were setting up my account yesterday online and when she told it was for the $5000, I told her, "But it's not in my account anymore." Then there was much freaking out from her and she was calling my dad and the bank, trying to find out where it might've gone. The bank's going to track it down, but it'll take a couple days. In the meantime, my mom's still freaking out. I'm not really; I should be, but I'm not. I don't know why... I guess it just doesn't phase me?
Truffles are so good. I've been eating them a lot lately. Probably not so good.
Happy Chinese New Year everyone! Hope you're all doing well!
How's the kettle corn, Ann?

trying to keep above water
hey guys (lily and aaron... haha)
not too much that is new. this weekend i felt very productive, though. i finished my letter of intent for my food science application and printed it out today. then i edited it again and printed it out again...
on friday i went skiing for the first time ever! it was really fun/scary. to sum up the night, i went skiing (okay... it was SO cheap... including rental and ski pass... guess how much it was... okay, like, just over sixteen dollars!!!!! isn't that ridic??). i started on the bunny hill, of course, and it seemed scary. i fell twice on my first run, but caught on pretty quickly and got comfortable in about half an hour. after about an hour, i was actually getting bored! i'm not trying to brag or whatever, but really, i was going on the same hill (that was very small) over and over and it was not very challenging. so yeah, to make a long story short, i went on the next hill up (only like, three runs were open because it was special friday night discount time). and yeah. the next hill up was like, 10 times more challenging because it was like, twice the steepness and probably about six times the length... it looked steep from the bottom but i convinced myself to go anyways because i figured it just looked huge from afar. but alas, it was even huger and steeper seeming from atop. and i did NOT want to go down. but i did... mostly rolling. seriously. but yeah, i'm fine. i can tell you guys the story in more detail one day if you want. it was pretty funny, in retrospect, but really embarrassing (the hill was not busy, but it was embarrassing still).
saturday... what did i do? i did some homework and went around penticton. i had japanese food for dinner. oh, and i ordered a birthday cake for another co-op student at work. it's her birthday on thursday and i think she was kind of sad she wasn't home for her birthday, so i thought it would be nice to celebrate a bit.
sunday, i wrote my letter of intent (i had started it earlier) and visited a house that miao and i could potentially stay in. it's been really hard for us to find a furnished place. i think we just need to work out some details about the rental agreement, and we will be good :)
that's about it. i went to work today, came home, made dinner, and now i am on the comp. i have to email the landlord guy to ask some qs, write a thank you card for the family i know in penticton, double check over my letter of intent, find out what i'm supposed to do for my work term report (that i have to hand in at the end of my four months here... i forgot what the report was about. i just remember my co-ordinator saying "it's not telling a story, it has to be analytical" or something like that), and check placepro (the website i use for co-op) to see if there are any jobs i want to apply for soon. ugh.
haha i am looking at my "to do" list right now and it makes me laugh. don't be too disgusted (lily...) but i honestly have not done any laundry since i got here. well, not in the washing machine, at least. i did laundry right before i came here, and also bought lots of new underwear hahahahahaha. i wear new undies every day, of course, but in general, i basically brought my whole winter wardrobe (not that huge) and figure i can wear each item a few times before it needs a washing. i am forming a pile...
the thing is (again, don't be disgusted!) in feb, i will have a washing machine in the house, and can wash all i want (without paying $4 a load!!!)... so i kind of just want to wait it out. hahaha. i honestly have enough underwear to last me! isn't that crazy! haha i think it's hilarious/ridiculous how much underwear i have. oh, and socks too.
anyways, i have to attend to my list of things to do. i've gotta mail my letter of intent soon because it is due on the 30th and i want to super make sure it gets to ubc on time! but yes, i hope you are all (both) doing well!

First of all.... Lily! You didn't post yesterday and you said you would post on Saturdays!
I just had to point that out. Sorry. Anyhows, well, I don't know if anyone else (besides Chels) knows, but I'm not going to be going to Penticton. I would really, really, really, really love to go to see you (Chels) but like I said before, I kind of want to save money up in case I do get into Berklee. The thought of moving to another country makes me nervous... but also excited, as I get to start new and lie about my past. Hahaha no. But that would be kinda fun.
Speaking of job stuff, I applied at the Kernels at Oakridge on Friday, and now I'm waiting to see if I get called. I'm not like "OMG! I want that job!" or anything (in fact, I was more reluctant than anything) but I figured it shouldn't be uber-stressful or uber-boring either. I guess we'll see.
I have my own movie page on imdb, and my own page too! http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1344416/ But for some reason, random people get attached as a writer and it pisses me off because I don't know why or if someone is trying to spam my page or something. I'M THE WRITER! Mine!!!!
Ann: I need to give you that bag of kettle corn! Arrgh.
Lily: I'll see you on Friday for that thing at UBC, eh?
Joanne: You called me a few times and then hung up pretty quickly, right? I tried calling you after but I got your voicemail again. Hopefully my Vanessa Carlton caller ring track didn't scare you off (it's supposed to play music when you call me!)
Chels: Are you hanging in there alright? Anything exciting happen?
That's about it from me. I helped move some stuff around in the garage today and found a bunch of old pins that Florence had that are kinda old (like some Expo '86 pins) that I think i'll steal and put on my bag. Yay.

I can come and visit on the 21st, 22ND (weekend after valentine's day) however, i have my midterm exams around valentines day so i would prefer not to stay for more than 2 days. don't make any arrangements because my decisions are not final yet. And i wouldn't mind paying for a motel near you new place if you decide to move out..are you planning to move out before February? I think for now just do as you would as if i weren't going..but i probably will go, just don't make any decisions based on me.

UPDATE UPDATE UPDATE
hey guys
ooookay so plans have apparently changed.
originally, i thought dan was just coming... but apparently it's going to be a group trip now?
i hate to be a wet blanket... but... i really have to say this before anyone pays for anything related to the trip...
my situation here is very confusing/screwed. there are about 30 factors determining where i'll be next month. yes, where i'll be.
i am sorry if you guys are confused with my "mixed messages." honestly, they are not mixed (well, okay, maybe a bit), i am just trying to be as honest and clear as possible with you guys, as i always try to be. so basically, i don't know if i'll even be in this motel next month. i am trying to move out so i can actually get some groceries on my own without having to do 40 mins of walking (well, 80 mins to go there and back)... if i do manage to move out, i will be in a two room place (appartment, house, whatever) and will absolutely not be able to accomodate 5 extra people. i don't know if getting a hotel/motel room is okay with you guys, but it really depends on where i am then.
however, i have a few twists and turns to this, that i thought of, so hopefully, you are paying attention and not just skimming (LILY!) as it can get confusing. so.............. if you guys come on the first weekend (the one right before reading break), i can definitely take 3 people (not including me) in to my place, no matter where i am staying (for the friday and saturday night). i know, however, that this is the valentine's day weekend, so if you guys don't want to come then (or ever), i understand. but i can for sure house you if you come then. if you guys want to come the second weekend (the one right after reading break), then i can't guarantee a place to sleep for anyone except dan.
that's the basic story (if you want me to explain why, i can; i just didn't because i don't want to overload this post with uneccessary information).
however however howeeever, if you guys are FOR SURE coming. and i mean, for suuuuure, i can make sure i stay here. at this motel. that i am in as i type. and then i can take 3 to 4 people. or, if you come on the valentine's weekend, i can house everyone for two nights (fri night and sat night). again, i can explain why, if you want, but i have not yet just because don't want to add more info than necessary.
but if i do that (the triple however paragraph plan), you absolutely (whoever is coming) MUST come or i will be ridiculously pissed off because i stayed here and paid over $600 just so i could house you and then you bailed on me. not to mention, missed out on not having to do the 80 min walk for groceries thing. ugh. just thinking about it makes me angry... hahaha. kind of.
anyways, so i guess what i'm saying is you guys really need to tell me if you're coming or not. if you guys don't care about spending all your moneys, then whatever, you can get a hotel. but if you want to stay with me (where i will spend the moneys because i have to anyways), you need to tell me if you're coming and when. and then i can confirm and then you can buy things. because if you guys don't tell me you want to stay with me, i am going to try to move out by the end of this month and there may not be any room for anyone :(
sooo yeah. please confirm amongst yourselves (i'd call you myself if it didn't cost me $0.70 a minute :P) what's happening. you can email me (use my gmail account) if you have qs or whatever. or talk to dan. i talk to him every night so he's quite updated.
hope you guys can sort your way through that mess of information and we can find a way to make this work!!!!!!!! i really do! (but i also understand the limitations of the situation so don't worry if you can't make it)
-chels :)

sooo yeah. please confirm amongst yourselves (i'd call you myself if it didn't cost me $0.70 a minute :P) what's happening. you can email me (use my gmail account) if you have qs or whatever. or talk to dan. i talk to him every night so he's quite updated.
hope you guys can sort your way through that mess of information and we can find a way to make this work!!!!!!!! i really do! (but i also understand the limitations of the situation so don't worry if you can't make it)

Winter cleaning
Ooh, the colours have returned! Also, that's really cheap to go tubing. I went tubing with Maggie, Danny and some other friends and it was like $60 for two hours for a family of 5. We didn't know what that meant (the definition of a "family" can mean anything, pretty much. Sure, we didn't have "parents" with us, but did that make us less of a family? Who's to say what a family is or isn't?) so we just told them we were a family of 6 and they gave us some weird looks, but let us in. That magic carpet thing really intrigues me... I bet it's just a ski lift.
I can see what you mean by us not really spending time with you if we were to see you. But apparently, it might work out after all. I'm totally in if everyone else is! And I have a new board game too! Hurrah.
Still looking for a job. I don't really want to resort to retail, since I've done that (plus the pay's not that great and not much relevant experience). And no, Ann, no Pizza hut for me. I could go back to Future Shop and I think I would get paid more. I could spend time working on editing/shooting some projects but I kinda want to save up some money if I do get into Berklee and I move over there. Speaking of which, I had a dream I got in and was on the plane to fly over but the plane was weird and instead of leaving from an airstrip, it went on a road (with other cars) and sort of tried to take off from there.
Anyhows, yeah, I'm free on Tuesday, Lily. What time shall I meet you and where on campus?
Aaron

oh yeah one last thing
time: yesterday, around 11am.
location: my room.
i had been planning on going shopping with miao and michael (two other co-op students; i'm staying in the same place as miao and michael can drive. enough said) but little did i know, i would get more than i expected that day...
*ring-ring, ring-ring*
(i think: oh, maybe that's michael? (i had given him the motel number) that's weird; he said he'd be here around 1230pm...)
*ring-ring*
(i answer the phone)
me: hellooo?
man: hi, is chelsea there?
(i think: is it michael? i can't remember what he sounds like...)
me: yeah, speaking...
man: hi, this is nick (he is the motel manager). i have a male for you here at the office.
(i think: oh, i guess michael didn't get my text so he didn't know what room number i was and went to the main office to ask for me? hmm...)
me: oh really? that's... interesting... (i didn't know what to say)
man: yeah, it's a postcard
(i think: oooooooooooooooooooooooooh!!! "mail"!!! not "male"!!!)
in my defense, he did clearly say "you have a male/mail" as opposed to "you have mail" so there :P
so yeah, i got your postcard, lily. thanks a lot :) i put it on my fridge (i also put my boarding pass on the fridge so i guess i'm starting a collection of fun stuff there?) it was really nice of you. i just wanted to share my funny story (well, mildly funny, at least).

read my other post before you read this one!!!
round trip bus $18
full day adult pass $60 or half day adult pass $44
full day rental (ski) $36 or half day rental $26
full day rental (snowboard) $36 or half day rental $25
Friday night special skiing & boarding only $7.50 (?)
or for $59 we can get 2 hours of lessons, rental, and a "magic carpet lift ticket" (?), which seems better for us (as getting everything separately is quite pricey... plus, no lessons???)
tube park 2 hours $15 (and $4 and hour for each additional hour!)
hmm why is everything so expensive? (except tubing, haha)
anyways, just giving out what info i've got.

travel plans?
hey guys (mainly lily because she posted most recently),
yeah dan told me that you (lily), aaron and ann and him were planning on coming... and please don't take this the wrong way, but my immediate reaction was (in my head) nooooo and a really uneasy/overwhelmed feeling. at first, i didn't understand it because, of course, i do want to see you guys and it would be really cool if you came to see where i lived/worked, but i talked to dan and thought about it, and i realized i didn't think i could make your guys' trip very fun at all. and i'm not trying to be modest or anything, honestly, i just think if you come here, you will be bored...
i leave the motel at 8am and don't get back 'til about 530pm (depending on my carpool... but it's usually 515pm or 530pm). so... yeah. you guys would be alone here for many hours... and my place is very big for one person, but on the small size for 4 or 5 people (though we will all fit, we're going to have to get a bit cozy... and i'm not sleeping beside lily, who turns at 90 degree angles in her sleep!!!! haha :P). there is a small tv and internet acces... but i feel like it's a waste of your guys' time to come all the way here just to watch tv!
and then when i do come home, i have to do some reading for my online class (there's quite a bit every week) and post on the discussion board, and then i still need to be finding a summer co-op job... that really stresses me out.
but yeah, there honestly is not too much to do here (even if you do have a car... which, apparently, we are having trouble with anyways). there is a time horton's and denny's (5 min walk away) and then a safeway (20 min walk away, i heard though have never tried), and then a mall (maybe 30 mins to 1 hour walk away? never tried... but i think it's closer to an hour) that is about half the size of oakridge (it is honestly a straight line, with one line coming out... even oakridge is a full circle!), and there is a wal-mart and dollar store farther than that (so maybe 1 hour walk?). and along the way, there is a burger king, wendy's, earl's, white spot, little caesar's, and banks (this is along the main street).
so... yeah. and i'm not trying to make it seem bad here or anything, it's just, there's nothing much to see here in the winter (at least in the summer there are the beaches sooo closeby!) and so that means you would probably come here just to see me... and i don't feel like it would really be worth your time. which makes me sad :( but i really don't feel like it's worth $70 each just to see me before bed.
aaaactually, now that i'm thinking about it, if you guys came on a weekend, i could bust my butt off and get my homework done early? if there is a weekend that works for you guys. and if you still think it's worth the money for just a few days (you could come on a fri and leave on sun?)...
don't know, just throwing that out there. because then we could all hang out and play some board games (if you bring some!) and i can show you the town! (well, not really. i have not bussed anywhere... i know it's stupid but i feel annoyed for having to pay for bus :P haha because i'm used to using my u-pass. also because i hear the bus comes only once an hour. and i saw how close the stops are together... one to two stops every block?) maybe we can learn to bus around here... or just walk, if you guys bring warm clothes. OR go skiing/snowboarding!!! i can find out how much that costs (much much less than whistler, i am guessing!) if you guys are interested. just throwing that out there, again. you guys honestly don't have to come because i know money does not grow on trees, but if you reeeally did want to come, these are just some ideas.
:)

Good evening Ladies and Aaron!
I too a CPR course today. It began at 8am and ended early, at 4pm. Although it's early, i thought I would be okay because i'm usually a morning person, but i was nodding off and the class isn't even that big so i felt bad. I took a nice nap after i returned home. :) But i'm feeling lazy!!!
Anyways, nothing much has happened aside from the fact that my term as VP Social has begun and my partner, Karen, and I have started thinking about planning.
We haven't done much aside from getting our "serving it right" license but that's about it.
My professors are pretty good this term. Since i'm only taking 4 courses, it's not that bad but i also have VP social responsibilities and I also want to take this time to catch up on the drug names I did not memorize!
Chels, I hope you're doing well. I'm sure Dan has contacted you on our plans to visit you. I think it will be too much work for you to host 5 people with work and school. What are you thinking?
Aaron, Are you free tuesday? Want to come on campus and study with me (me study, you write)?

day 3 in the abyss
okay, so i don't even really know for sure what an abyss is. it's one of those words that i think i know the definition/correct use of, but am not really sure because i never formally learned it. anyways, i hope my title makes sense.
so dan and my parents left here (their flight is at 7pm or so) about an hour and a half ago, but it feels like i've been alone forever. urgh. time is passing so slowly. i should work on my application essay thing :| i will as soon as i finish with this... though i also have to put some of my stuff away... i've got a crapload of random clothes on top of my suitcases because i had to empty a full suitcase of clothes (i brought three in total -- long story) so i guess i'll write my essay after. i'm looking at my pile of clothes and it makes me sad :(
i am currently typing this (i also was on facebook for a minute and checking my email, etc before) while watching britney music videos. kind of fun (?). i think.
i feel really empty right now. i guess lonely. :( i hope everyone is having fun on their last day before school starts up again!
i don't really know what else to say, but have a good first day :)
-chels
ps- do you guys ever book taxis ahead of time? when you do, what info do you give? do you need to give your name and destination? or only where you want to be picked up and when? i haven't been in a taxi for over a year!

Thank god I have boots now
Is there a supermarket of some sort around the area, Chels? I hope you have at least a better selection of food now. Have you met any of the people you're going to be working with (ie. that girl who you know that gets a ride from that guy?)
What's the weather like over there? Is it colder than Vancouver and is there snow? We just got another dump of snow today, just when it all seemed to be melting. I'm sure you brought enough clothes in case it's super freezing.
I saw the play version of It's A Wonderful Life down at Granville Island today with Maggie and Danny, and it was pretty good. Then I went downtown to meet a friend (from online) to see a movie, and we ended seeing Yes Man, the one with Jim Carrey, which was alright. We got some bubble tea before I headed home, only I really needed to use the bathroom, and at Broadway station, there aren't any public bathrooms, but there are a bunch of stores and restaurants. I was so desperate I went into McDonald's but didn't want to buy anything to use their washrooms so I went to A&W instead, and bought some onion rings. As I went to finally go pee, there was a sign on the door: OUT OF ORDER. Damnation. So I got my onion rings and went to the bus stop in the hopes of holding it in and peeing at home...
which eventually I did, after waiting half an hour for the bus. I was so pissed off... and then my mom phoned and lectured me about how it was my fault for coming home so late (even though it was only 10:30!!!!) and of course the snow would make it difficult for the buses to run, which didn't seem to affect the other 4 or 5 buses running across the street!!! Argh.
Anyway. Was anybody else sore after playing Twister? I was... and the next morning too. haha
Good to hear you're doing alright, Chels. Keep warm everyone!

First post of 2009!
Argh!
Chels, i'm glad to hear you arrived safely and yes, you sound like a hobo :)
I wouldn't worry too much about the start up costs because everyone has to go through it if they have to live elsewhere. I'm glad to hear that you actually brought my asian crackers :) They're sweet like sugary sweet.
Anyways, I've decided not to go to UBC because it's snowing and there really is no point. I thought i needed to borrow a book but it's not until next week.
I have to return bottles and buy groceries now though.
Be safe in the snow!

starting over
oh my god. it is horrible "starting from scratch." i mean, i am more calm now than i was before, but i feel reeeeally reeeeeeeally bad for my parents buying me "getting started" stuff. they wanted to go shopping and get some stuff for me before they left, and we probably spent... $150 to $200 on random things. it's a whole crapload of $3 and $4 items, mostly. and i only picked up things on sale. except at wal-mart (because i kind of needed some things like ziplock containers and a pot -- the room came with a frying pan but no pots..?). anyhows, the most stupid little things add up.
my parents asked me if i wanted to buy bread and i said no because i realized i didn't (and still don't, really) have anything to put on it (ie jam or pb or even margarine...). it frustrated me that i didn't even have basics like milk or margarine or cereal. i only had lily's asian crackers (you know what i'm talking about) and like... meal replacement things. and crackers. my mom brought lots of crackers, for some reason.
my point is that after spending all that money, i still don't have a great variety of food. i bought (among other basic things, of course) marg, canola oil, a pot (these were givens), long johns (one pair), salad mix, carrots, cheese, eggs. that's about as exciting as it gets. urrrgh. oh i also got alphaghetti (sp?).
so aside from my grocery shopping, we also visited some relatives (my cousin's husband's uncle and aunt) and went to the mall. i slept a lot in the car (because i didn't sleep at night since i stayed up packing... and we left the house at 5:30am) so i missed a lot of the scenery. every time i close my eyes, i feel like i'm drifting off... hahaha.
anyhow, i hope you guys are all doing well and taking care of yourselves (oh yeah, that reminds me, there was apparently some turbulance during our trip but i totally slept through it... and as soon as we got off the plane, i fell asleep on a bench while waiting for our luggage; i felt like a hobo. but yeah...)! thanks so much for your gifts. i hope to hear from you all soon. (i haven't had a chance to read all the scrapbook stuff yet... i'm going to try to maximize my time with my family/dan while they're here since i will have the rest of my stay mostly alone...

ps- i seriously need to write my application "essay" thing for the food sci major..! it's due at the end of jan... you must all remind me to do it!!
