LEGEND
Light blue is message to Aarie (anyone can read, it's just really long!)
Light pink is message to Lily (same thing about reading it)
Green is for Jo and Ann (sorry I didn't say more but hopefully we will talk soon anyway!)
Oh Aarie, I am so sorry :( I was so ready for you to get in... I am sorry I am not there (physically) for you. I logged onto MSN just now though and if you want, I can talk to you there. Also email, of course.
And Aarie, just so you know... You are 100% welcome to stay with me for a bit. I know this will not necessarily give your life new meaning or solve all your problems, but it is very peaceful here and sometimes you just need some time away to clear your mind. Round trip tickests should be just under $80 if you book 14 days ahead. I live 10 mins away from the greyhound station in Penticton, and Dan can drive you to the station in Vancouver if you need a ride. Don't feel like you need to come or you are obligated to do anything. I just don't know what you're feeling/thinking right now and I just want to put that out there for you. As long as you are comfortable sleeping on the same bed as me (I think I have a double bed... same size as yours?) or on the couch (which is quite big and really comfortable), it's cool with me. I have a roommate, but she is awesome. Although she has never met a gay person -- only lesbians. Just as a random note (she is not homophobic though, just has not had the opportunity to meet someone gay).
Anyways, I know I am getting awfully specific... I am not planning things, I just want you to know it is seriously an option. Not like really "out there" or impossible. It is totally fine, though I will be out for work from 8am to 5pm. This is a good place to chill. Just chill. If that's what you need.
We live downtown (but really, it's super quiet. More like Dunbar than DT Vancouver...) so we are close to all the shops. We are also somewhat close to the beach (if you want to walk around) and a casino (haha) and... hmm... dunno. That's about it. But yes. Seriously, just if you need to take some time off from your norm, think about it.
Oh yes, we are across the street from the library museum too! (I can actually access our wireless internet from the library, that's how close we are. Probably a 30 second walk.)
Lily, I am super super sorry but I may have to push our plans back a smidge. It's complicated. It has to do with my stupid online course that requires you to BE in the stupid friggin city to do anything... it makes me really mad. Jeez. Anyways, so to make a long and stupid story short, my ONLINE course basically requires me to BE there to do most of the work, and something is happening that Saturday morning/afternoon (I asked but my group members did not know exactly what time it ended) and since I will probably not be coming back to Vancouver for the rest of the term, I basically HAVE to be there. Yes. For a friggin' online course. If I wanted to be there, I'd take a normal, not online course!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I just found out about this yesterday, so it was news to me too...
So yeah, I honestly am really really sorry about that. I will probably not finish that late, so I think I should be available in late afternoon, but I am pretty certain I won't be able to make it for lunch. We can just do whatever is most convenient for you and meet where it is easy for you. I will be on UBC campus on Saturday morning so I can bus anywhere.
Ann and Jo, will I see you on Sunday along with Aarie?
See you all soon, I hope,
Chels :)
