So probably for the bulk of this term, I will be up early/late on Wednesdays and Thursday to prep for my lab on Thursdays. It seems no matter what I do or how early I start, the exercises are designed to take right up until I have to go :|
Anyhow, just wanted to do a morning post to complain about labs... That's all, really.

One stress point
I think I am kind of addicted to stress or something... I always seem to find SOMETHING to stress about. Currently, it's one of my lab courses. Last week, I spent all of Wednesday plus Thursday morning working on my lab assignment and prelab... I even missed a class! :( I really really hate missing class...
Anyhow not much happening here. No matter what I do, I always seem to keep busy (which may or may not be a good thing). I have to do research for one of my lab courses tonight because I have a lab meeting tomorrow, and I also have to write a lab report for the lab I did last week, do the prelab readings and questions for my lab on Thursday and do a prelab quiz before Thursday too... :|
Aaron, you were really good yesterday. Even though I was copying notes, I was still paying attention (somewhat). Dan said your voice seems stronger, and I thought you were especially strong on your first couple songs :)
Mmmm well what else? I joined the Science Co-op club at UBC... I am not really sure what that means since I just attended two meetings (I missed the first one) and havent' done anything. They are doing an icebreaker/end-of-new-co-op-students'-workshops social in mid-November though and I emailed the president of the club (she is basically the only person in the club I know since I met her while doing the co-op q&a thing I did) and told her I could do the PR stuff... But honestly I have no idea what I am doing. It kind of freaks me out... This is like the major event for the club (we are only doing 3 events this term, I think so yeah) --it's a really small club -- but yeah anyways I am just scared if no one shows up or something :(
Oh, also my dad got a new car... Kind of random. Our poor van was dying :( so he traded it in. He was afraid in the winter, it would be especially hard on the van and it would die on the highway or something...
Hmm I think that's all that's new, really. Hope you guys are doing well :) I am going to go back to my reading for my prelab :P

Hurrying along
Happy (late...) Birthday, Ann!!!! I was totally going to send you a text or call you yesterday (I was reminding myself this whole week) but the one day I forget! Argh! Any further developments as for next week and your birthday plans? I looked up some go karts around the area and two are in Richmond and both are kinda hard to get to... hmm. It's up to you!
Almost done my demo! Gotta spend some time mass-producing CD's for Monday too. Excited!!!
Hmm... not much else to say. Doing some more filming tomorrow for what will most likely be the last video with Lulu (finally!!!! I don't have anything against her or the project but I really think it's time the project was over -- I need a break). I also spent the day uploading last Monday's show onto the Mac at YouthCO but for some reason, it wouldn't upload onto youtube. I brought my hard drive with me to put the videos on but it's not Mac compatible, as I had feared. Still, I had my flash drive with me just in case, but it's only 2 GB so I was only able to fit one video on it. :( Anyhoo, after shooting tomorrow, I'll need to return the camera to YouthCO and maybe get to transfer my videos onto my computer then.
Yup. Who's coming to my show on Monday? Same time, same place. It'll be super fantastic awesome!

i didn't know you moved too chels, is it to the apartment at ubc that your parents bought? you can be neighbour buddies with joanne if she still lives at the same place..i have not heard from her in forever. i have skeptical paranoid feelings about sleeping here (mom's new place) too. its especially weird when you wake up in the morning and you're not really awake and you think your bed is where it was in your old room and you're like 'why am i facing this direction and the door is over there??'
as for my birthday proceedings i appreciate all your inputs..go carting sounds very interesting i just have to look into it some more. it will most likely be on thurs or fri unless i ask some time off work. but my mom is going away for a week on october 3rd, so i was thinking of withholding high maintenance bday plans until i have the apartment to myself then.

New home
Hey everyone,
It was my first night sleeping in the apartment last night. It was okay but I am kind of really paranoid about sleeping in new places. I am sure it happens with everyone to some extent, but it's just like, new place, new sounds, new feelings... I can just tell I am in a different place and sometimes the floorboards creak differently or something and it feels weird. But I just have to get used to it. When I get new roommates, I get really suspicious... It's actually kind of funny if you're not me. But I just keep imagining them creeping on me in the middle of the night and like, making plans to murder me :P Just because they can. Anyways, don't think I'm crazy. I don't think I am... Just don't like adjusting to new things like this. Probably took me 2 weeks to get used to Miao as a roommate.
Anyhow I am happy because all my classes are in the Macmillan (except one, which is in the Hugh Dempster building, which is like 2 mins away across the road) which, although somewhat far from main campus and the bus loop, etc, is very close to the apartment.
Eating Two Scoops Raisin Bran for breakfast.
Need to iron dress and hem some pants... Hrmm... Need to find out where iron is hiding...
Hey Ann: Sounds good to me... Do you mean pizza? Because that sounds tasty. Though I doubt you will enjoy it :| since you said you were sick of it. Will we (I guess by "we" I mean Aaron (and Joanne?) and I) be making a trip to good ol' Burnaby? ONE WEEK until your birthday! :)
Aarie: Well you didn't quite forget so you still have time to do something for her birthday (like you said, you and Maggie are getting a cake) so it's not really that bad... Also, why did you have a bad day? :(
This week is going to be very busy for me. I somewhat finished moving (but not unpacking whatsoever) and have too many things on my To Do list... Augh and I have an assignment due tomorrow and I'm not even half done... Dammittttttt... :| I think I am lazy from not having homework for 8 months hahaha :P
Anyhow, Aarie, I can hang out on Friday!

Beat goes on...
Thanks again for looking for that textbook for me, Ann. I googled the web enough to find all the answers, so everything is mostly good. Do you have clean underwear now?
Oh yeah, birthday plans! I thought you wanted to do something different this year, Ann -- remember how I suggested go karts and you expressed enthusiasm for it? But it's your birthday and we can do whatever you want... even having to eat your food...... again................ raw pancakes!!!
Anyhoo, it's my mom's birthday today and I sort of forgot... but it's not too late, really. My sister (Florence) reminded me and I realized that I think my mom wanted to go out for dinner at a local place but I didn't want to, which she interpreted as that I didn't want to go out for dinner (I just didn't want to go to that specific place). And when I asked what was going on for dinner, she said I said I didn't want to go anymore, which wasn't true. I asked if she still wanted to go and she didn't say anything, just ignored me. So I ended up making my own dinner.
I feel kind of bad because I almost forgot, but Maggie and I are planning on getting her a cake tomorrow, and since I finish school at 12:20 tomorrow maybe I'll take her out for lunch. I think I'll do that.
Sigh... I had kind of a bad day yesterday but it would take a while to type it out.
Lily: What're you doing this Friday? Can you come to my show next Monday?
I've finally gotten back to work on my demo again. It'll be ready by my show on the 28th at which point you guys (who come to my show) can help give them out to people who may want a copy. Hooray! I can't wait.

movin' on up
for those of you who have never experienced it, moving is a pain. i have no utensils, furniture (except for 3 butt pillows side by side which i call the "couch")..clean underwear (tmi?) and my giant tv has been given away :( also you don't realize how much junk you've been hoarding over the years until you have to throw it away.
my neighbours are having a birthday party i can hear them singing. speaking of which, i've decided on my birthday, i really want to cook for you guys again and redeem myself. this year it will be a meal made from scratch from the loving hands of ann :)
lastly, according to aaron's rules i owe the blog about 200 pictures. well, here's a start,

Ugh... the worst feeling in the world
Hey Chels,
I'm actually a little sick today. Yesterday, I had a sore throat and although it's pretty much gone, I have a stuffy nose. My mom brought me to the doctor, just in case it might be something more, but the doctor said I just have regular human flu, not swine flu. I feel alright now, but depending on how I am tomorrow, I may or may not be able to go PG. :( Plus, I don't know if you'd wanna hang out with me when I'm sick... What are you going to check out at PG?
We actually do get agendas! I saw a sign outside the student union about agendas but they're not yet. Langara isn't as cheap as I thought!

The website is finally up too! here it is: http://www.playing-it-safe.nfb.ca/ The project is also featured in an article in the Westender newspaper as well as a picture of all of us, but none of my words got in the article. So many posts!
Hey all,
Aarie: sure, also I was thinking of visiting Point Grey sometime soon since I have not gone there since... Provincial exams? Or something? Anyways, I just remembered something in the halls that I wanted to look at so maybe we could drop by?
Ack! First day of school tomorrow! I am still sorting out the stuff I brought back from Penticton (about 2/7 suitcases done...) so I am kind of annoyed at myself since I still have to do the remaining 5 suitcases, clean up my room, and move to the apartment :P :| Urgh.
Anyhow, my classes don't start until 11 on Monday and Wednesday and not until 10:30 on Tuesday and Thursday, so I don't have very early mornings... which I like :) hee hee hee... I actually like waking up early when I have later classes to stretch and get ready slowly and review a bit. I hate waking up for early classes and rushing :P Also, as previously stated in person, I have no school on Friday! :) Yay!
So Dan's parents came back from Ontario yesterday. Dan and I picked them up from the airport. They seemed glad to be home... I think they were really busy in Toronto/Kingston helping Dan's brother and Dan's dad's family.
Lily: sorry I forgot to remind you to bring home your Greek food :( I forgot it was in Aaron's fridge. At least Aaron didn't waste it? Had fun on Saturday with you and Joyce :)
Ann: GASP POSTING!
OMG I just went on UBC SSC (ummm it's like where all our student info is... You can pay fees online here and register for courses... etc) to look at my timetable (I have not looked at it since I registered :P Or at least not for a long time...) and it occured to me that by now, there might be some online course stuff (I looked before but nothing was up)... And now there is so much info for all my courses! I am so excited/scared/overwhelmed! And I still have to unpack! Augh!
Hope you guys are enjoying the last day off (not sure about Ann and Aaron... like, when your last day of vacation is...)!

lily: sure i wouldn't mind helping out with your bbq... what is it for? my faculty also has stuff/activities that day and i was debating whether or not to go...
and i forgot to tell everyone, i have my regular vancouver phone back now! :) so you can call/text me at my regular 778 number!!!
i am so stressed out about that stupid Q&A thing i said i'd do for co-op... i don't even know why i am stressed about it! it's probably going to be like 5 to 10 minutes, but i don't know, i'm really scared :P
i am doing laundry at dan's house right now... :| he is at work.
oh for friday, dan's parents are away for now until next week, so if we need a place, his house is empty. just in case you guys were wondering :) if not, aarie's or where ever is fine with me.
